Smithfield Pulled Pork


  • 2 Tsp Chili Powder

  • 1/4 Cup Apple Juice

  • 1 Smithfield Boneless Netted Pork Shoulder Roast

  • 1 Tsp Iodized Salt

  • 2 Tsp Ground Black Pepper

  • 4 Tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 Tbsp Paprika


  • Combine seasonings; rub over all sides of pork roast. Place roast into a slow cooker.

  • Pour apple juice and any remaining seasoning into cooker. Cover and cook on Low 8 to 10 hours (High: 4 to 5 hours).

  • Remove roast from slow cooker; let stand 15 minutes.

  • Using two forks, shred meat apart into bite-size pieces; add juices from slow cooker as needed to moisten.

  • Use shredded pork for barbecue sandwiches, taco or burrito filling, pizza or baked potato topping, or on a salad.
